Charleston, WV – The University of Charleston School of Pharmacy was recently presented with an $8,000.00 check for the Fruth Scholarship Fund. Scholarship money is generated by the annual Fruth Pharmacy Corporate Golf Tournament, and Fruth Pharmacy Scholarships are awarded to deserving student pharmacists at the University of Charleston each spring during the annual School of Pharmacy Honors and Awards ceremony.
Fruth Pharmacy, a strong supporter of pharmacy education, was founded by Jack Fruth in 1952 in Point Pleasant, W.Va. The company has 25 store locations in West Virginia and Ohio. The University of Charleston (UC) is an independent, co-educational, residential university with approximately 1,500 students from 34 states and 30 countries. The School of Pharmacy, founded in 2006, is fully accredited and offers innovative education to over 300 students.
