The Biology certification provides graduates with the skills necessary to teach in a general science classroom for grades nine through Adult. Students take a variety of content specific science and biology courses and a science methods course. This methods course allows students to examine current research on science teaching in the secondary schools and provides a 20-hour field experience to assist in preparation of teaching science. Students should also consider combing Biology with General Science certification.
