Overview of Program
The Communications curriculum prepares students for real-world experience through classroom instruction grounded in the theories of human communication and the role of communication media in society. Students gain knowledge and skills in functional areas such as:
- Television production
- Public relations
- Graphic design
- Public speaking
- Technology that supports communication
The faculty helps and encourages students to find internships in their areas of interest and offers one-on-one career counseling.
Students will use technology-rich classrooms and one-on-one instruction to help them master the hardware and software used in each discipline.
The program prepares students for graduate programs, including for law school and for work with emerging media.
