Pharmacy Administration Faculty

The University of Charleston School of Pharmacy seeks applicants for an Assistant / Associate Professor of Pharmacy Administration. The School of Pharmacy is an instrument of the

University of Charleston, designed to prepare pharmacists who will provide comprehensive patient care, advance the profession through research and advocacy, and to serve the community as leaders in rural health care. The School fosters active participation of faculty, staff and students in an agenda of community outreach, advocacy, and activism as one of the hallmarks of the pharmacy program. The University of Charleston's Pharmacy School offers an integrated curriculum that seeks to develop pharmacy practitioners who are able to effectively communicate with diverse populations and work as an integral member of the healthcare delivery team.

The faculty position is full-time, non-tenure track (rank and salary commensurate with skills and experience). Faculty members are expected to support the vision and mission of the School of Pharmacy through teaching in the professional pharmacy curriculum, participating in scholarly activities, and being an active member of School of Pharmacy committees.

Qualified candidates should have PhD. degree in Economic, Social and Administrative Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Economics or Management, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to develop, coordinate, and teach within his or her area of expertise in an entry-level Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. Preference will be given to those candidates with a pharmacoeconomic or health economics background.
