Administrative Specialist - Business Office

The Administrative Specialist will provide organizational and clerical support to help maintain the daily responsibilities of the Business Office. 


  • Greet visitors and answer the Business Office telephone
  • Direct telephone calls and office visitors to the appropriate person in the Business Office
  • Route incoming and outgoing office mail
  • Support the Director of Human Resources with data entry for benefit enrollment, distributing and collecting new hire employment packets 
  • Assist with payroll processing, as needed
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, while exhibiting a consistent professional behavior pattern
  • Maintain filing system of invoices with vouchers
  • General administrative and clerical duties (including but not limited to faxing, shredding documents, making copies and filing)
  • Maintain inventory, office supplies and equipment maintenance
  • Complete special projects as needed
  • Other duties assigned


  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum one year experience in administrative support or office management
  • Computer literate and mandatory knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and multi – task in a busy office setting
  • General knowledge of accounting and payroll procedures is a plus


  • General office environment, Business/Business Casual dress policy
  • Office hours 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed
