Student organizations contribute to the total learning experience of each student. Our graduates are expected to be able to function effectively as team members and be involved, contributing citizens in the community in which they live or work. In campus activities students learn to communicate well with others, and to develop, promote, implement, and evaluate ideas and activities that initiate change.
To develop these skills, the University of Charleston encourages students to participate in cocurricular programs and student leadership, with active involvement in recognized clubs and organizations as a key element.
All students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in order to participate or hold an officer’s position is any UC student organization, or to participate in intramurals.
