The mission for the Center for Career Development is to prepare students to excel in the transition from undergraduate study to career readiness as they advance into a life of productive work and community involvement and to be able to effectively meet the challenges of today’s professional world as enlightened citizens.
Career readiness involves a growing understanding of self and accrued experiences into the formation of career goals.
- Some students will begin with a clear focus on a particular field of interest and initiate a plan to develop credentials and skills.
- Others will begin with a general idea, but seek us out to help narrow and clarify a particular direction.
- Yet others will seek that starting point and move through the entire career development process.
