Charleston, W.VA. – The University of Charleston has appointed Dr. Scott Bellamy as Dean of the School of Business. He succeeds Dr. Charles Stebbins, who retired in May.
Bellamy joined the faculty of the UC business school in May, 2011, after serving 12 years as a tenured associate professor of economics at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and as executive director of its MBA program from 2004 to 2008. Bellamy holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Tennessee, an MBA from East Tennessee State University, and both a master’s and a doctorate in economics from the University of Kentucky.
The UC School of Business includes four undergraduate degree programs on the school’s main campus in Kanawha City (accounting, business administration, finance and sports administration), as well as three master’s degree programs at UC’s downtown location in the Equities House (Master of Business Administration and Leadership (MBAL), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), and Master of Forensic Accounting (MFA)).
