University of Charleston Institutional Review Board

All research with human subjects carried out by University of Charleston faculty and/or students must be approved by the UC IRB.

All Investigators must complete or have completed the National Institutes of Health (NIH)  training course “Protecting Human Research Participants”, within the past 3 years.  A current certificate must be submitted with each application submitted to the IRB.

The IRB meets quarterly.  The 2013-2014 meeting dates are August 6, 2013; November 5, 2013; February 4, 2014; and May 6, 2014.
